It might be concered with the lack of module, b43, for boardcom wifi chip; I also had this problem. It had been solved by installing b43 module by export FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DIR="/lib/firmware" b43-fwcutter -w "$FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DIR" broadcom-wl-5.100.138/linux/wl_apsta.o b43-fwcutter -w "$FIRMWARE_INS...

Also libgst*.so (gsstream*) had been removed from 005-devel.xzm. Right?

Also un-detected card, (Broadcom BCM43xx), seems to related the message in "dmesg",

btusb: loading module not compiled with retpoline compiler.

How to load the driver for the Broadcom device?

Thanks, Rava. Almost can't save all the log. Thus I tried to install on older USB2 pendriver, previous one being USB3. It works now on a Mac notebook pro. However, network card can't be recognized since b43 module, for boardcom product, was absent. Do anyone provide the b43 related module? Best wish...

As the Porteus-4.x released, I had tried to run on Mac notebook pro with retina. But it always halted with a blackscreen; only text-mode worked. However, Porteus-3.2 works with X. Is it caused by the absent of boardcom driver or something else missed?

I also made a xzm of bcm driver for 64-bit ports-3.2rc2 system. Test okay on my Mac notebook pro 2013. Any interested, could find it from

Activate it and execute by sudo

shell > sudo modprobe b43

Hi all,

Bluedevil had been added:
the wifi function works on my Mac air/Mac pro,
but bluetooth device fails.
Is there additional setting need to be done for this?

glad to see 2.1-rc released. Just test it on my new Mac pro and wifi card can not be recognized. New Mac pro uses the Broadcom chip BCM4331 but porteus b43 module can not be loaded normally with some files lost.Hope this can be solved while the 2.1 released.
