Re: turne the new usb bootable
Hi fanthom Sory for the mistake, it was 1.2. Since it is not for my PC, I prefere to use stable version. fdisk -l say http://pastebin.com/qgNNvW1n @ brokenman I leave cfdisk with this state http://pastebin.com/dA14RQ6K running lin_start_here and rebooting. edit It work! So I have extracted the porteus v1.1 x86_64 to the root, and then I have run lin_start here to make it bootable, unfortunaly, if I do by syslinux way for fat32 or by lilo for every filesystem, the usb drive is not bootable beca...

Re: FreeCAD-0.13 for Porteus 1.2-i486 (KDE4)
Hi, Thank you for building this module. I cannot launch freecad on porteus 1.2 since it is always doing: freecad freecad: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by /usr/lib/libboost_regex.so.1.47.0) freecad: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (...

Re: porteus device not ready yet
Thanks Fanthom Great jobs for this version. In fact it is printed in bootp1-2/docs/cheatcodes.txt 'from_dir=/linux/porteus-v1.1' will cause searching for *.sgn file in the /mnt/sda6/linux/porteus-v1.1/porteus folder first. So I believed I have to write 'from_dir=/linux/porteus-v1.2' instead of 'from...

Re: kernel 3.0.1 and LXDE updates are ready for testing (x86
Hi fanthom, this statement gets me convinced that from kernel/hardware point of view everything is ok. are you sure that none of your module is overwriting /etc/groups accidentally? I don't think I have overwrited /etc/group. To change passwords and guest's name, and to disable autologing I have use...

Re: [HOWTO] Save power and extend your battery life in Porte
Hi, I have find an explaination about the Linux kernel 2.6.38 and 2.6.39 power regression workaround To sum up, PCIe ASPM is controlled with the file /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy. When you check the file cat /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy you should have an answer like "[default]...

Re: kernel 3.0.1 and LXDE updates are ready for testing (x86
Hi Fanthom, Thanks for the script for the aufs3 branch. With this version of kernel, it seem that I need to be root to have the sound and the display acceleration working. because when I am 'guest', I have no sound, and I have only 4 fps in armagetronad game when I am playing whereas when I am root,...

Re: kernel 3.0.1 and LXDE updates are ready for testing (x86
Hi, I am trying your new kernel, and it is a nice work. :) however I am wondering how did you do with aufs patch? Since 3.0.1doesn't include yet AUFS standalone, and git checkout origin/aufs2.1-40 error: pathspec 'origin/aufs2.1-40' did not match any file(s) known to git. + http://git.c3sl.ufpr.br/p...

Re: gparted
Mayby, mayby not. If I use slackyd -g gparted or pkgs.org + slackyd -d gparted It don't ask for same deps. In this case, the first solution seem to be heavy and strange. Not only for asking for a web-browser, but for asking together QT and GTK. whereas the second solution doesn't ask for many deps.
