Why donate?
Porteus is a free and non-profit distribution that does not generate any direct income. We rely solely on donations from the community to cover our overheads which include server rental, secure layers, website maintenance and the insane amount of hours the developers put into each release. This distribution would not survive were it not for the generous hearts of our users. We believe we have a quality community oriented project that can eventually compete with larger distributions, but without some kind of income our chances of this diminish.
